Every order receives a candle care instruction card. If you have misplaced yours, you can still find all the information here!
Before Lighting
Candles need to be placed on a flat heat resistant dish or candle plate to avoid damage to surfaces.
Trimming your wick
Ensure you trim your wick BEFORE every use. Trim your wick to 5mm. Trimming will ensure your candle does not burn hotter than it should, and thus will prolong the life of your candle. Be sure not to cut it too short or it will become engulfed by wax. Stop use when only 6mm of wax remain in the vessel. Failure to follow instructions can cause the jar to become too hot and become damaged.
Candle Safety
When lighting your Candles ensure a draft free environment, keep clear of any flammable objects/items. Keep away from pets or children and NEVER leave your candles unattended. Make sure to always put out candles before leaving your home or before sleeping.
First Burn
After trimming your wick, you can light your candle. The first burn is an important one. Please allow the wax to reach the edges of the jar before extinguishing. Failure to do this can result in tunneling. Never burn a Candle for more than 4 hours at a time. Be careful of hot wax after candle is extinguished.
